Troy Allen
Sr Instructor - Hitting, Pitching and Strength Training
Troy was an Atlantic 10 all conference outfielder and played 2+ years in the Atlanta Braves farm system. A shoulder injury cut his career short but led to his interest in training athletes.

Troy has been training baseball and softball players full time since 2007, having helped more than 100 athletes achieve college scholarships. Troy is an International Youth Coaching Association (IYCA) Certified Strength Trainer and has also received his National Pitching Association (NPA) certification and the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) certification. Troy is also a certified Rapsodo pitching instructor.
Darian Herncane
Instructor - Baseball
Darian Herncane was a standout Outfielder for State College Area High School as a 3 year starter and letter winner for the Little Lions. During his senior season he was named to the 1st team PA Pre-Season All State Team, 1st team All Mid Penn Conference All Star Team, and he was named to the 2013 All USA PA Baseball team. He finished his high school career with a .333 career batting average, and being awarded the prestigious coaches award for outstanding senior player.

​Following high school, Darian attended D1 Binghamton University where he continued his playing career. Over his 4 year career with the Bearcats he appeared in 113 games, starting in 79 of them. During his junior and senior seasons he was a team leader in home runs (tied for 1st on the team during his senior season). While playing for BU, the Bearcats won two America East conference championships and two regular season championships, resulting in two bids to the NCAA World Series Regional tournaments.

​In addition to playing at Binghamton University, he played in the Perfect Game Collegiate league for the Newark Pilots. While being a member of the Pilots, he was named to the Perfect Game Collegiate Summer league All Star Team and was selected to participate in the annual All Star Home Run Derby.

Shawn Herncane
Softball Instruction
Shawn has been coaching travel softball for the past 8 years. He is the founder and Director of operations for the Worth Prospects PA travel softball organization. Under his guidance, the program has gained national recognition by competing and winning at some of the largest tournament and showcase events on the East Coast. As a result of this excellence, the program sees its athletes year after year getting opportunities to continue to play softball collegiately. In addition to the Worth Prospects teams, Shawn is the Head Varsity Softball Coach at State College Area High School.
Tim Mazer DPT, ATC
Director - Player Health and Athletic Performance
Tim has been a Physical Therapist for 21 years and a Certified Athletic Trainer for 23. He has a wealth of experience working on the rehabilitation side with athletes of all levels. He has always had a particular interest in the intricacies of rehabbing throwing athletes. Over time, he has been able to blend advanced knowledge of human movement and biomechanics with rehabilitation and athletic performance principles. The result is a unique and comprehensive approach to player development and injury prevention.
Matt Smearman
Instructor - Baseball/Softball
Baseball--Matt played college ball at Penn State Altoona and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 1991. He played for the Carolina Mudcats in Zebulon NC, before undergoing Tommy John Surgery ending his pitching career. Matt returned home and decided to give back to the game by coaching. Matt started his coaching career in 1993 coaching 10 th ward Federation with his father for 3 years. He then became an assistant baseball coach at Bishop Guilfoyle high school in Altoona where he coached for 7 years, becoming the head coach from 2003 -2004. Coaching then took Matt to Hollidaysburg as an assistant from 2004-2010. From 2015 - 2024 Matt coached baseball for Flood City Elite. Matt assisted with camps and gave lessons to kids ranging in age from 8U-18U. In 2021. The 15U Flood City Elite boys finished 5 th out of 455 teams earning its deepest run since the inception of the organization.
Softball--Matt joined the softball staff at Hollidaysburg in 2013 then transferred to Altoona Area high school in 2016 and coached for 2 years. Matt began coaching in the Worth Prospects organization in 2018 and is currently a coach for the 23u team.
Sonya Wilmoth
Instructor - Softball Pitching Instruction
Wilmoth played high school softball in Maryland, winning state championships three out of the four seasons she played. A four-year starter on the mound, Wilmoth finished her high school career with a 61-3 win/loss record. She was recruited to play for NCAA Division I LaSalle University and was a four- year starter there as a pitcher, shortstop, and first baseman.
Moving on to pursue a master’s degree in sports administration at West Chester University, Wilmoth served as a graduate assistant in the Golden Ram’s athletic department. After two years, Wilmoth moved on to take over the Lady Rams softball program as head coach. After seven seasons, Wilmoth was named the head coach of the softball program at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. While at UNF, she led the Ospreys from 1997-2008 with a 452-203 record, 101-76 in the NCAA Division I era and her teams were consistently ranked in the NFCA Top Ten list. Her 2003 team went 44-9 and claimed both the regular-season and tournament championships in the NCAA Division II, Peach Belt Conference.
Wilmoth retired from coaching after the 2008 season to pursue her own lesson and camp business, Game On Softball. She continued to do private and group lessons across the southeast, the San Antonio/Austin areas in Texas, and now in State College.
