Diamond Sports Training is the area's premier indoor baseball and softball training facility. We have 3 full length batting cages and 3 full length pitching lanes to accommodate little leaguers to professionals. There is a full weight room with equipment and machines used exclusively to train the most dedicated player.

Sr Instructor - Hitting, Pitching and Strength Training
Troy was an Atlantic 10 all conference outfielder and played 2+ years in the Atlanta Braves farm system. A shoulder injury cut his career short but led to his interest in training athletes.
Troy has been training baseball and softball players full time since 2007, having helped more than 100 athletes achieve college scholarships. Troy is an International Youth Coaching Association (IYCA) Certified Strength Trainer and has also received his National Pitching Association (NPA) certification and the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) certification. Troy is also a certified Rapsodo pitching instructor.
Softball Pitching Instructor
Hannah was a standout pitcher at State College Area High School. After high school, Hannah went on to pitch at Penn State University. Hannah specializes in softball pitching instruction for beginners to advanced pitchers. Hannah also utilizes Rapsodo, an advanced analytical pitching training tool.
Clarissa Keller & Dave Keller
Instructors - Softball
Clarissa Keller has 10 plus years of playing experience and several years of coaching experience in Central PA. She graduated from Penns Valley Area High School, where she was a four year varsity letter winner, three time Mountain League All-Star, and a District 6 All-Star. She decided to continue her softball career at Penn State Altoona where she was a four year starter. Her accomplishments include a Third-Team Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) All Conference selection in her freshman year, a First-Team All Conference selection the following three seasons, and an All-Academic selection all four seasons. In her senior year, Clarissa was chosen to the ECAC Division III South Region All-Star team and was chosen as the AMCC's Player of the Year.
After graduating from Penn State Altoona, Clarissa has returned to the area to coach local summer ball teams and currently, the Penns Valley Little League Softball majors team. She, along with her father Dave, believe in a well-rounded approach to developing athletes: working from the ground-up to build solid fundamentals and helping athletes to develop skills not only in their sport, but also as individuals.
Dave Keller has an extensive playing and coaching career including over 20 years of baseball and softball experience. A Penns Valley graduate, he participated in baseball at all levels including Little League, Teener League, and high school varsity. His coaching career began with Centre Hall Little League baseball at the tee ball level. He would continue on to coach at all levels including Rookies, Minors, Majors, and Teener League. The highlight of his baseball coaching career was coaching the first ever state-tournament Penns Valley Teener League team. Dave’s experience coaching softball includes Little League and ASA softball teams. In the past, he has volunteered his time as an assistant coach at the high school varsity level. He presently is coaching the Penns Valley Little League Majors team with his daughter, Clarissa.
Instructor - Baseball
Darian Herncane was a standout Outfielder for State College Area High School as a 3 year starter and letter winner for the Little Lions. During his senior season he was named to the 1st team PA Pre-Season All State Team, 1st team All Mid Penn Conference All Star Team, and he was named to the 2013 All USA PA Baseball team. He finished his high school career with a .333 career batting average, and being awarded the prestigious coaches award for outstanding senior player.
Following high school, Darian attended D1 Binghamton University where he continued his playing career. Over his 4 year career with the Bearcats he appeared in 113 games, starting in 79 of them. During his junior and senior seasons he was a team leader in home runs (tied for 1st on the team during his senior season). While playing for BU, the Bearcats won two America East conference championships and two regular season championships, resulting in two bids to the NCAA World Series Regional tournaments.
In addition to playing at Binghamton University, he played in the Perfect Game Collegiate league for the Newark Pilots. While being a member of the Pilots, he was named to the Perfect Game Collegiate Summer league All Star Team and was selected to participate in the annual All Star Home Run Derby.
Darian specializes in hitting and outfield instruction. Darian is currently the Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at State College Area High School.
Shawn has been coaching travel softball for the past 8 years. He is the founder and Director of operations for the Worth Prospects PA travel softball organization. Under his guidance, the program has gained national recognition by competing and winning at some of the largest tournament and showcase events on the East Coast. As a result of this excellence, the program sees its athletes year after year getting opportunities to continue to play softball collegiately. In addition to the Worth Prospects teams, Shawn is the Head Varsity Softball Coach at State College Area High School.
